"The future remains uncertain, and so it should, for it is the canvas on which we paint our desires. Thus the human condition ever faces a beautifully empty canvas. We possess only this moment in which to dedicate ourselves continuously to the sacred presence we share and create." ~ Frank Herbert, Children of Dune

A Pomme to Venus
this morning was so beautiful i thought that i might cry
venus shining in the vault a diamond in the sky
shining brightly pure and clear above a rosy dawn
what beauty, joy and happiness might be this day be wrought?
what mighty loves unquenchable spring? what noble fights be fought?
what wondrous deeds be worthy of such a wondrous day?
my heart it shines just like that star
light calls out to light
my tongue is loosed to sing a song
of rapture and delight
no mockingbird could quite compare to what swells in my breast
the sun is rising in the east
oh grateful me oh blest
i'll sing a song of joy and praise to the All and to the One.
the lady shines upon her throne
a queen in heaven
my queen
oh shining dove.
oh blessed be.
